So how do you go about getting a Tennessee electrical license so you can practice the electrical trade in Tennessee?
The state of Tennessee requires that you be issued a Limited Licensed Electrician (LLE) license to work on projects with a total cost for electrical work less than $25 thousand. Projects over $25 thousand in cost require a contractor’s license with a CE license classification. Both types of licenses require the passing of a difficult exam to test your knowledge of electrical work.

Lucky for you, IEC makes it as easy as it can be. At the Tennessee IEC training center, you will not only receive classroom instruction from world class instructors, you will also receive hands-on training in the field as an electrical apprentice. And unlike traditional higher education, where you graduate thousands of dollars in debt, with IEC, you get paid while you do your apprenticeship and graduate with no school debt.
The demand for qualified Tennessee electricians will continue to grow. Your career will begin as an apprentice, but from there you can advance all the way up to master electrican or owner of your own company. It all starts with training at IEC to get your Tennessee electrical license.
