The state of Tennessee requires that you be issued a Limited Licensed Electrician (LLE) license to work on projects with a total cost for electrical work less than $25 thousand. Projects over $25 thousand in cost require a contractor’s license with a CE license classification. Both types of licenses require the passing of a difficult exam to test your knowledge of electrical work.
